To insure the continued
application of the methods taught and to secure a definite
standard of efficiency in the field, the organisation of the medical service and all working procedures have been set forth
in regulations and standing orders, which represent the
objective of the training program.
Further, the members of the senior teaching staff
are appointed as Field Consultants to the Units, and are to make inspection trips to all sectors in order to continuously
improve the service, through supervision in the field, and
correction of or addition to regulations, standing orders, and
training program.
Besides the technical aspects of training, serious attention is paid to discipline, morale and socio-political understanding. Military drill and discipline are strictly enforced, and the students addressed to give them a clear
concept of their duty as citizens and as members of the medical
service in the present war.
APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPING AND EXTENDING
MEDICAL TRAINING.
With the extension of hostilities to the interior
provinces of China and the lengthening of the fighting line, the need for medical personnel is becoming increasingly greater. Furthermore, the supply of doctors, nurses and trained medical
orderlies, is now virtually exhausted. This need for new
personnel, combined with the great inefficiency of those now
in the medical service, creates a situation which can only be
remedied /
